The most intricate part of the conversion was to create the underpart of the shell. I managed to buy up sufficient spares from Blackwells of Hawkwell when they were selling them off as surplus in 1987. Each new base needs two original bases, one each of the DTS and the TF. Those vehicles also provided sufficient glazing strip to splice together for a full-length run of glazing for every vehicle.
