MIDLAND ROAD

The title Midland Road evokes the Midland Main Line in Leicestershire where I spent much of my childhood. I had wanted a garden railway for a long time but had wondered how easy it was going to be to keep the track and wheels clean enough for reliable electrical contact. So I started dabbling in radio control which, I thought, could sidestep the problems of electrical pick-up on weathered rails out in the garden. This has presented me with challenges and has given me much enjoyment.

I have tried to make navigation easy; there are links at the foot of each page to the previous and following pages, as well as back here.
